Vice President of Logistics and Engineering

Sky Siemers is vice president of logistics and engineering services at IDS International. A value-optimizing strategic leader in the defense and government services industry, he brings to IDS nearly two decades of experience in life cycle project management, business development, joint ventures, negotiations, and strategy. At IDS, he oversees the operations and business development of the company’s logistics and engineering functions, which includes logistics, base operations support services, light construction, and related services.

Before joining IDS, Siemers served as vice president of base operations support at Centerra, an international government solutions group. In this capacity, he provided global leadership for more than 3,000 employees spanning eight countries and eighteen US states. During his tenure, he oversaw two joint ventures as executive manager and served on the board of four joint ventures. Prior to that, he served as senior director of operations at DynCorp International, where he provided base operations support analysis and expertise. Siemers’ previously worked for ITT Corporation (2003-2010) in a variety of increasingly senior roles and later with its spinoff company, Exelis (2010-2014), where he eventually served as deputy program director. In this capacity, he managed an annual budget of $400 million and provided leadership for 5,000 employees. In 2014, when Exelis spun off Vectrus, a new government services provider, Siemers served as program manager and leader of the company’s Qatar base operations support services organization.

Siemers received a Bachelor’s degree in public administration from Upper Iowa University and a Master’s in business administration from Louisiana State University. He holds executive education certificates from the University of Chicago, University of Notre Dame, and University of Michigan. He also holds a project management professional certificate from the Project Management Institute.
