Nate Griggs

Nate Griggs is the Director of International Research at IDS International. He curates and manages a portfolio of programs in support of international development and security force assistance efforts throughout the developing world. Nate is responsible for developing and executing business development strategies; Program Management of USG contracts; Proposal development (curating partnerships, designing concepts of operation, technical writing, and finances); Project management of all services and deliverables (international development and security force assistance activities); Budget coordination and control as well as other duties to further the business prospects and results of IDS International.
 Nate served as the Director of Knowledge Management and Information Technology with the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command's social science research capability. He led a large and geographically dispersed team and oversaw the mid-stage development of the TRADOC G2’s Operational Environment Enterprise. He also led the research management function of the program across 25 teams located in non-permissive operational environments. Additionally, he participated in the U.S. Army’s Capabilities Based Assessment for the Engagement War Fighting Function, where he collaborated with senior military leaders on strategies for optimizing security force assistance and building partner capacity across the range of military and non-military operations. Nate also served as a lead Combat Advisor and Senior Social Scientist (GS14) in the CENTCOM area of responsibility with the 1st Armored Division, 25th Infantry Division, 1st Cavalry Division, 1st Infantry Division, and 101st Airborne Division. Nate enabled senior military decision makers to adapt to the rapidly evolving tactical, operational, and strategic environments of both Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and Operation New Dawn in Iraq. 
Nate completed his master’s degree in economics in international development at the American University in Cairo in 2009. He holds a B.A. in entrepreneurship from the University of St. Thomas Schulze School Of Entrepreneurship in Minneapolis.
