Jeff Stanton is the vice president of training at IDS International. In this capacity, he oversees direction of the company’s Training Department, which provides custom training solutions on interagency principles, capabilities, and objectives. Under Stanton’s leadership, the IDS Training Department has cemented its reputation as the US military’s leading training partner in interagency and whole-of-government approaches to disaster response, humanitarian assistance, stability operations, and reconstruction. The Department also works with Special Operations Forces (SOF), providing scenario and operational environment development, exercise planning, and subject matter (SME) support.

Before joining IDS, Stanton served as site manager and interagency coordinator for the US Army’s National Training Center. During this time, he also worked as an IDS subject matter expert, where he leveraged his on-the-ground experience in post-conflict areas to provide analysis on counterinsurgency and political vulnerability for a variety of IDS partners and clients. Stanton’s previous roles include counterinsurgency advisor to the commander of the International Security Assistance Force (COMISAF) and positions with the US Department of State, including political advisor in eastern Afghanistan and strategic advisor for the Iraq Ministry of Defense.
